Different runners.
Same missing piece.

Different runners come to rhythm for different reasons: pacing, consistency, a performance goal or simply wanting runs to feel less mentally busy.

Most runners don’t need more motivation.

They need movement that feels sustainable. Pacing that doesn’t collapse halfway through a run. Rhythm that keeps them controlled under fatigue. These are illustrative scenarios, not customer testimonials or guaranteed outcomes. They show different ways the current HzAma features can fit into a runner’s routine.

I’d tried running multiple times but every attempt ended the same way - start too fast, feel awful, slow down, stop. I just assumed I wasn’t built for it.

Example scenario: Sarah starts with a modest cadence target in Trainer and uses Click audio as a simple timing reference. The aim is to make the early pace feel controlled rather than chasing speed.

Ten weeks later I ran my first continuous 5K. I wasn’t destroyed afterwards - just tired.

Consistent running

Example scenario: Mark is returning to running and wants to experiment with a slightly higher cadence after discussing his running with an appropriate professional.

I GPS-calibrated my stride and used Trainer to raise cadence gradually - around 2–3 SPM per week - using Rhythm audio to keep sessions from feeling clinical. The audio variety meant I wasn’t just staring at a number on a screen.

Over the following months, the goal is consistency: gradual cadence work, regular easy running and no sudden jump in training load.

Sessions

I GPS-calibrated my stride, set a half marathon goal in Training mode, and committed to a six-month programme - easy runs on Mondays, target sessions mid-week, long runs at the weekend.

The interval sessions worked particularly well. As pace demands shifted between efforts, the audio changed with them - making it easy to lock onto the right cadence without constantly checking pace. No watch-staring, just running to the beat.

Example outcome: the programme is built around a sub-2-hour goal, with cadence targets that give James a clear rhythm to follow through each session.

My 10km had been stuck at 51 minutes for eighteen months. Three sessions a week, structured workouts, solid aerobic base - but the clock wouldn’t move. I used my Stride calibration and target pace to translate the goal into a cadence target to work towards.

I used Training mode alongside my existing Strava log. HzAma doesn’t replace Strava - Strava handles my GPS route, segment records, and all my running data. HzAma handles cadence precision and rhythm guidance in the session itself. They complement each other.

Where available in Pro, progress reports can be used to review how the programme is developing and shared using the current options in Account.

Consistent

I’ve been running for 35 years. I accept that pace changes with age - but movement quality still matters, maybe more than ever.

I rotate between Rhythm and Synth audio modes depending on mood and distance. The variety keeps long solo runs interesting - I’ve never once reached for a podcast mid-run since starting with HzAma. I genuinely don’t get bored of it.

Each month I share my report with my daughter. Something tangible. Progress without having to explain what cadence means.

My playlists kept drifting out of sync with my movement, making every run feel slightly off. I switched to Synth mode and started experimenting - five layers, four tiles each, over six thousand combinations. No two long runs have sounded the same.

HzAma sits alongside Garmin, not instead of it. Garmin still handles my GPS tracking, heart rate, and performance history. HzAma handles cadence guidance and what the run actually sounds and feels like in the moment. They do different jobs.

Four months in. Sixteen weeks without a skipped session. That’s the longest consistent block I’ve ever managed.
